Purchased as dedicated securities trading station.
Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jan 2017
Service was awesome. I ordered mine the Friday before Christmas. That evening I realized I missed the option to have a PCIe drive. I emailed after my order and that night Will responded with advice and the option to have the PCIe SSD configured into my order. He did this at 8:00 pm PT that night. Great Service.
I purchased this computer as a dedicated trading station. I do appreciate the numbers pad for this reason. I also extend this workstation to other monitors for charting and watching price action of securities.
The Power is tremendous. I went with windows Pro, 32gb ram, 6gb Nvidia, 512 PCIe with the 4K screen. I like the fact that it is a non-touch screen because I do not feel comfortable reaching up to the screen, I personally prefer using a mouse or track-pad. I know there are many who are avid touch screen users but I am not one of them. I also have a MAC and its track-pad is better but kind of worthless for the type of charting that I do.
It is super fantastic to have NO bloatware. That is a huge difference for me. I have had other computers where I am constantly bombarded with bloatware conflicts and irrelevant driver updates.
I did notice there is a tiny amount of edge bleed around the periphery of the screen. I can only see it when the screen is blank, probably normal though.
I have also noticed that this laptop is a finger print magnet, but I clean my computer pretty regularly so not a problem for me.
This computer works perfectly for my needs. I have yet to have any hick-ups in my 2 weeks of usage.
I am able to access large amounts of historical and live securities data with zero delay.
Power of a Desktop in Laptop Form
Posted by Topher on 18th Oct 2016
Let me start out by saying before I made this purchase, I probably did a months worth of research. I began by looking at the big brands like Dell, HP, MSI, etc. and none of them could meet my requirements and then I accidentally stumbled upon a listing for Eluktronics on Amazon. I had never heard of Eluktronics before so I did some additional research to make sure they were on the level which they were. After customizing the exact machine I wanted via their website, I pull the trigger and order the best laptop I have ever had.
I have now had this laptop for a little over two months now and this laptop is the single best investment I have made all year, it is exactly what I was looking for from the major brands only better. I am on the road a lot but need a lot of power and absolutely hate waiting on programs. The Pro15re does not disappoint. Windows starts up after entering by BitLocker key in about 10 seconds. Once I login, everything is immediately ready and I can start any program I need without waiting. What use to take me about 15 minutes to do on my old Dell is done in less than a minute with this laptop. The speed is unbelievable and even surpasses my last desktop that was built more like an enterprise server more than anything.
During programming compiling or photo editing, this laptop doesn't make more than a whisper of noise which is a huge plus. The sound of jet engines can be very distracting when you are trying to work in the background and the cooling system is obviously very well designed. I think I have only heard the fans come on once and that was due to a driver error (unrelated to the hardware that comes with the laptop) resulting in a crash so I do know they are working if need be.
The display is stunning, so stunning in fact that my recently purchased 1080P external monitor looks like garbage compared to what gets displayed on the laptop screen. If anything, this laptop has showed me there really is a difference between 1080p and 4K resolutions which may be the only downside to the laptop. You will want to upgrade your other monitors if they aren't already 4K after viewing the screen on this.
This laptop is obviously well thought out too. There are plenty of USB ports, the keyboard lights up with brightness adjustable (6 different levels including off), all the important function keys, a fingerprint scanner, HD webcam, decent speakers (they could use more bass but that's pretty typical) and even an 1Gbps ethernet port. The case is extremely sturdy and doesn't feel like cheap flimsy plastic that most come to associate with a laptop these days. For those that require the best security, a TPM module is on board so you can take full advantage of BitLocker. The best part was there was no crapware installed, it's an absolute clean version of Windows 10 with all the drivers ready to go. Nothing you don't need/want is installed which is very refreshing.
I couldn't be more happy with my purchase from Eluktronics. If you are on the fence about one of these machines, just buy one, you will not be disappointed. It's like what Dell used to be before they began using inferior parts that were overpriced. Although I expect this laptop will last me a long time, I will be purchasing from Eluktronics again when it's time for an upgrade!

I want to start off by saying I was a little skeptical of the company at first, I had never heard of Eluktronics before but I am very satisfied with my purchase and glad I decided to go through with it.
I am a college student and I wanted a mobile laptop that was light, and packed a punch while gaming. I am a few days into using the laptop and I have absolutely no complaints. Everything was packaged perfectly, and the product came exactly as described. The design is absolutely genius, combining the great cooling, with a ton of USB ports and ports for connecting monitors.
I highly recommend this product if you are looking for strong customer support (which is top class, never had better customer support than these guys), and a dependable machine. I plan on buying from them (especially SSDs) in the future.
The best I could have gotten!

I hate how some companies work these days. They're trying to get you to spend so much on their computers, and most of the time it's for less quality. This company right here has exceeded my expectations. The order was very quick, and the team here has been completely helpful through the entire process. This laptop has made me love this company, and I plan to stick with them for a long time. Mine was more designed for gaming, and it just slays everything I've thrown at it so far! Every game has been on High/Ultra settings. no frame rate issues whatsoever. For what I put into my laptop, other companies would have charged $300+. All in all, Eluktronics has proven to me that they are a company of professionals. I highly recommend picking up your next PC from them!!
shame on the other manufacturers

This is the way computers were meant to be. Sleek and sexy looking on the outside, fast and furious on the inside. This was the best laptop purchase I've ever made. Adjustable back light on the totally perfect soft key pad. I opted for the 4k screen which rivals my 120 Hz desktop monitor. The audio in this makes my Vaio laptop sound like an AM radio. This is the first time buying a computer that I felt that I got my moneys worth. Just pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed!
Tremendous laptop, incredible value

I bought my PRO15RE after extensive research into different manufacturer's, the quality of their gear and value.
My laptop arrived yesterday (with a free monitor upgrade!) and I couldn't be happier. I've spent the better part of 2 days now putting it through its paces -- both work and play. It hums along beautifully, the graphics are crisp and it easily exceeds all of my expectations.
I also appreciate the low-key design and exterior -- I don't need or want violent flourescent colors assaulting my eyes, or gaudy logos emblazoned across my gear. I just want quality, elegant gear that lives up to its promise.
In short -- buy your laptop here, or you're selling yourself short.
Excellent Workstation-class Laptop

I bought this laptop for software development. It's got a lot of horsepower and has served me very well (I'm running multiple VMs using Windows Hyper-V). Really happy.
I couldn't find a laptop that would let me put 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD in for a comparable price. I needed something that could run multiple, concurrent heavyweight processes (IDE, VMs, etc.). Eluktronics came through for me.
The customer support is also phenomenal. I called tech support and a person answered right away. They've also been really responsive to email inquires. Would purchase again!
The touchpad could work better but I think I am spoiled by my experience with the Mac Book touchpad. It works fine when no external mouse is available. The fingerprint reader also isn't too reliable. I tried to use it to login but it's faster to use a PIN or even password.
The Hype Is Justified!

Where to begin? I guess my specs? i7-6700HQ 16GB RAM 6GB 970m (G-Sync Compatible) 128 SSD 1TB 7200RPM and Windows 10 Pro! So to start off let's talk about the price advantage that Eluktronics can provide! So not only are the laptops very reasonably priced for what you're getting the actual components are top notch, for instance a Samsung SSD versus a Toshiba, but they also are based out of Delaware which means NO SALES TAX. That's right you read that correctly that means you can increase your budget a little when purchasing through Eluktronics. Budgeted $1,800 for that monster laptop? Well that's like $1,625 plus tax when using the competitors, that extra $175 may come in handy giving your new laptop a little bump in parts!
For the actual laptop itself let's begin with appearance. So it's sleek, professional and generally an attractive build; feels pretty premium as well. As others have mentioned it doesn't scream "HEY LOOK I LIKE VIDEO GAMES!" Which can be a pretty big plus in a professional environment and also in a school environment as it's less likely to get stolen versus a laptop that exudes bright lights like an EDM concert (rave, baby!). Oh man the keyboard, okay I normally HATE laptop keyboards! I'm not setting the world on fire here with my typing ability (average typist about 65WPM), but for whatever reason my typing takes a nose dive when I type on laptop keyboard. That's just typing god forbid I try to use the keyboard for gaming (keep missing that '2' key on my rotation when playing an MMO!). This keyboard feels wonderful! I type just as fast, with similar accuracy, and the 'clicks' that greet your fingers while typing are a welcome comfort letting you know you pressed the desired key. The 10 key is similar to the rest of the keyboard it's big enough to where it feels natural (can something that had to be learned be natural?) or at least very familiar, almost like you're using a desktop keyboard. Track pad seemed pretty decent, but admittedly I carry around a little Bluetooth mouse so never really use it; the functions also work as intended! Screen looks amazing too, pretty deep color and haven't had a glare problem. Last thing about the "exterior" features, the speakers are solid enough; of course laptop speakers will never be for audiophiles!
Now for the "insides." The SSD makes startup a wonderful experience, press power and BAM like 8 seconds later I'm being asked for my password. A quick word about the software it came with: IT ONLY CAME WITH WINDOWS NO BLOATWARE, YEAHHHH! (Caffeinated sorry >.<) The CPU, HDD, SDD and RAM all perform as I would like them to handles day-to-day tasks easily and the professional tasks I've asked it to perform have all been completed flawlessly. Now for the GPU (dun, dun dun!!!!). I have the 970m 6GB and it has handled everything I've asked of it. Some examples you say? Sure! Total War: Warhammer has only been available as of the time of this review for about 3-4 weeks, and as games go Total War can be a bear on GPUs. This laptop plays that on Ultra, without hiccups and the GPU only gets to be around 65 degrees Celsius. The keys around the area where the GPU is located can get a little warm, but not like "OW! What the heck! Well guess I don't have finger prints anymore," hot. I play The Elder Scrolls Online on High (a single step below the highest setting) without any heat issues it runs cooler than Total War: Warhammer. I could go on, but you get the idea.
A word on Eluktronics customer service! As others have stated their customer service is awesome. So they usually respond back within 24 hours, if not sooner. They're very understanding, VERY! Example: I got the laptop and had it for about 4-5 days and didn't realize how many programs DO NOT allow you to choose their installation destination, so what's a guy to do? I contact Eluktronics and ask if I can upgrade from the 128 to the 256; also inquire about if it would void my warranty! They respond back and say not only can I upgrade the SSD, but they've got a couple of options available to me. I can either send it to them and they'll install the larger SSD, and I'd only have to pay labor, S&H and also the difference in the SSDs (not buy a whole new one for full retail). The second option is they'll send the SSD to me and I can install it, and IT WON'T VOID THE WARRANTY! How awesome is that? Not only are they willing to help me with something most other companies would laugh at, but they also give me a couple of options on how it can be done!
Buy a laptop from Eluktronics. Quality product, solid price and awesome customer service.
Amazing performance, gobs of options, fantastic computer.

First off, I was impressed with how well packaged the computer was when i got it. Very secure, and every detail was thought of down to a little protective strip of plastic over the camera. Well done. I have not had a change to play any games on this thing yet, but I have played around with it and used it for several different tasks.
Pros: Very nice screen and brightness. I haven't tried using it outside yet, but I'm sure it will be just fine as when it is on full brightness indoors, it is almost too bright to look at. The speakers are pretty impressive for a laptop. They have very crisp sound, a really nice range and the volume it pumps out is plenty loud. It doesn't have a lot of bass, but then again, it is a laptop. Being a gaming computer, there is some extra software to custom tailor the sound from the speakers, and it really does give you a lot of control over the sound. It easily streams music or movies to my home entertainment system or smart TV. The backlit keyboard is nice, and I like that there are several different brightness levels to choose from. This thing is FAST. Literally, open the lid, and in less than 9 seconds it is booted up, I have swiped my fingerprint and I am opening up my gmail account. Fast! The graphics are great. I can play several 1080p youtube videos at once, without a glitch. I like the keyboard. Many people have complained about the keyboard being offset from the center, because it has a 10-key. Well, of course it is! How else would you do it? Doesn't bother me one bit.
Cons: There are a few things that sort of bug me, but aren't deal breakers for me. It is hard to type without moving the mouse cursor around. This is quickly solved by using the hotkey to turn the touchpad off. There is some adjustment to the sensitivity of the pad, which I have not played with yet. The battery isn't mind blowing. However, for regular tasks such as browsing the web or writing emails, battery life is maybe 3 or so hours. Start playing videos and it drops a bit. Not horrible, but not amazing in any way. Honestly, that is all I can think of for cons at this time. It really is a great machine.
Overall, I love it! I feel like I still have a lot to learn as this thing has so many adjustments and things that you can customize to make it work for you. I would definitely recommend Eluktronics to a friend, and I already have. My father is a die hard Lenovo fan, but after seeing this laptop, his horizons have widened quite a bit.
In a word: VROOM!
Posted by Brandon Blackmoor on 24th May 2016
After reviewing prices and specifications on a number of laptops (and very nearly ordering from a well known competing company), I opted for the PRO15RE from Eluktronics. This laptop has:
Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core
2 TB SSD
32 GB Ram
Windows 10 Pro
In a word: VROOM!
I love the crisp, full-travel backlit keyboard.
I love the great sound.
I love the trackpad with real buttons and a one-click toggle to turn off tap-to-click (which I despise, but some laptops make it all but impossible to disable).
I called Eluktronics tech support twice while setting up the computer. They answered immediately both times, and got right to the point of question without making me jump through a host of irrelevant hoops. A+!
I'll be ordering from Eluktronics again when the PRO17RE comes back in stock. :)
