Excellent laptop!
I have been using my laptop for 3 weeks now - and I can safely say I very much like it and would recommend someone else purchasing it as well. I purchased the 10875H 8 core, RTX 2070 Super, 240 HZ version of this laptop So: Keyboard, excellent so far - very clicky and feels very nice to use. The right shift bar is a little small, but so far that has been the only point I have had to adjust to. The per key RGB (aka you can choose what color each key lights up as) is necessary, because the keyboard being pitch black means there isn't a contrast between the keys unless they are lit. Personally I would prefer keys to have a little more color contrast on the key themselves, in case a light ever goes out underneath any of the keys - but thats a minor point. Screen: Honestly looks very good to me and fast! I personally am using this laptop for both coding and light gaming (paradox games and others) and its able to keep up very well! Hinges: I'll be honest, I am a little unsure still about the hinge design in regards to longevity. My previous laptop (an HP-Envy) had its hinges burst due to the way weight was distributed on the hinges. The screen/hinges have a minor amount of flex and by the hinges being on the edges it means that while they are handling any force more efficiently, they are also more prone to mild shaking from using the keyboard/other daily use. I can't speak for the hinge quality as I haven't taken the computer apart, but its something to keep in mind if laptop longevity is a concern. Speakers: The Speakers do not sound particularly great without earphones. It sounds like they lack a bit of base tuning - if you purchase this laptop and while watching videos/office work you'll want to use earphones honestly. Surfaces: The surfaces feel very nice to touch - the alloy that they use on the keyboard portion doesn't pick up much fingerprints, unlike other laptops. And what little is picked up, isn't particularly visible because of the color and is easily cleaned. Fans: The fans definitely can kick in! I really like the thermal design from what I see and its easy to switch between modes for office use/when you want them to kick in. BatteryPack: Huge - I kind of wish the battery/charger was smaller - its definitely a little big and therefore can be a little cumbersome. The powerconnector and the battery pack feel a bit weird in regards to design, in that the connector feels like it isn't properly fitted (even though it appears it is). How it was shipped: My laptop was shipped very securely! Plenty of foam/protection on the sides to ensure no damage. Additionally as the bundle came with it, due to the laptops price - the box was shipped within another box - so it had an extra level of security in regards to how it was shipped. Camera/Mic/Trackpad: The Camera is easily the most annoying part about this laptop - this is easily a very good laptop in regards to the specs, the screen and keyboard feel. But the Camera... is placed on the bottom of the screen. During the Pandemic, I have needed access to the camera frequently and while you can use an external camera because there are a good amount of ports, not having a camera situated on the top of the screen makes for awkward angles during Zoom. Microphone feels pretty standard for a laptop mic, nothing terrible/nothing amazing in that regard. I personally never use a trackpad, but from what I have felt - it feels fairly acceptable - even if a bit smoother than usual. As far as conspicuous (as I wanted to use this laptop for school, work, and play) and powerful laptops go, this is so far a great one! I would personally rate it 4.5/5 - with the .5 being a result of poor camera placement, being unsure about the hinge placement/structure and only average speaker quality being the only minor gripes.
